Western Wa winter days when it rains are seldom below 45° during the day with snow being rare, but winter temperatures can easily dip into the 20s and 30s at night. Summer days rarely rise above 79° although this year we've experienced some very hot days these past few weeks.Įastern Wa is a different story with summer time temps easily reaching over 100F in the summer and blistering cold in the winter. The weather is relatively mild in the western part of the state. July and August are the driest months in Western Washington, January and February the wettest. The Pacific Ocean creates a marine layer where clouds are frequent in the winter, spring and fall, but several days of steady rain is the exception rather than the rule. Western Wa isn't as rainy doom and gloom as some would have you believe. Really all depends on where in the state you wanna live. I do love it here a ton so take my advice a little biased because WA is like no other place. Also, any remotely popular spot when the sun finally shows itself will be swarmed like ants in a trap so good luck with that. You won’t be able to bring your dogs on a lot of trails but assholes and their crotch spawns will be leaving a bunch of messes along the trails and ruin any relaxing moment in nature. Avoid any association with big tech or you’ll be pitchforked and blamed for someone else’s problem by a Karen. Also traffic is Mon-Sun here with construction taking lanes almost everywhere you go, lasting for months, or even permanent. Most of the drivers here would rather kill you to avoid sitting in 5min of traffic or miss a turn, so they’ll suicide cut in front of you before the exit/on ramp, and turn signals don’t exist here. The sky is dark and gray 80% of the year and any streak of no rain leads to half the state or surrounding ones on fire, forcing you to continue loving the indoors or kill your lungs. Constant rain so either love it or love the indoors. Yes and speaking on Western WA: Seattle is full of piss and shit, litter, stabbings, homeless lying in front of you or chasing you around when they’re not pissing or shitting in front of you (or shooting up drugs).
